How scores are calculated

Every team's score (0–100)combines two halves: how much it's played and how well it performs — built only from real tournament results on Limitless, never simulated data.

  • Results-weighted play rate. Each tournament finish is weighted by event size (bigger fields count more, with diminishing returns), stakes (official Play! Pokémon regionals/internationals and prize money outrank small online cups), and recency (the last two weeks count fully; older results decay).
  • Confidence-adjusted win rate.A team's raw record is Bayesian-shrunktoward the field average, so a combo that went 2-0 in a single bracket can't leapfrog a core proven over hundreds of games. The win rate you see is the true record; the score uses the shrunk version.
  • Archetype diversity. The top 10 are chosen greedily with an overlap penalty, so full teams that share most of their Pokémon get spaced out — you get ten genuinely different teams to try, not one core with a rotating sixth slot.

Play rate is shown as the share of all tournament teams running the exact composition.
